Appendicectomy outcomes in children
An
audit on the outcomes of appendicectomy between December 2015 to January 2016
and highlight the specificity and sensitivity of the appendicitis score in predicting
a correct diagnosis.
Oxygen prescribing in an acute paediatric unit
A
departmental audit to look into oxygen prescribing or lack of and comparing this
to local trust guidelines and safety standards.
Pre-immunisations in children undergoing kidney transplant
Audit
looking into hepatitis B and VZV vaccines in a cohort of 36 children, prior to
receiving a living related donor kidney transplant (LRDKT), between June 2012
until May 2013, in the transplant unit of Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.
Treatment of UTI in infants under 6 months
Audit
exploring the method of treatment and administration of IV cefotaxime in
infants less than 6 months diagnosed with UTI in Royal Oldham Hospital, between
Sept 2013 to Feb 2014, according to the local trust microbiology guidelines.
National Asthma Audit 2012 (UK)
A
multinational audit looking into the initial acute management of asthma
exacerbation of children admitted to Royal Blackburn Hospital, between Nov 2011
to Feb 2012, comparing this to the national guidelines set by the British Thoracic
Society.
Management of adrenal incidenteloma
Audit
comparing the follow ups received by 122 patients identified with adrenal
incidentelomas on CT abdo scans in Blackpool Victoria Hospital, between Dec
