Suhaili Husain completed her Master in Chemistry from University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in 2012 with her research titled "Chemical composition, Antioxidant and Antibacterial Activity of Essential Oil from the Leaves of Melaleuca cajuputi". Her B.Sc. degree (Chemistry) is from University Science of Malaysia (USM) in 2005 and her research was about synthesizing gold nano- particles in natural rubber latex by using microwave.
Before graduating from USM, she was appointed as a research assistant (RA) for 1 year at the School of Chemistry, and she was also a part- timer tutor in Pusat Asasi UM (PASUM). After graduating from USM, she started working in CFS IIUM as a matriculation lecturer teaching Chemistry since 5th July 2005.
Her job scope includes teaching Chemistry (Organic and Inorganic Chemistry), acting as instructor for chemistry lab, amending lab manual, course leader and setter for tutorials, quizzes and examination papers. She is also on the time- table committee and a member of the Rasch Assessment team.
