PAGOH, JOHOR, Friday, 5th November 2021- Office of ARCOM, Kulliyyah of Languages and Management Students’ Society 20/21 had organized an Arabic Talk Programme entitled “If they can, why can’t we?”. The programme was a friendly-sharing session with a well-known Korean Youtuber, Lee Ji Eun (Jannah) who masters in learning and speaking Arabic language.
The objective of this programme is to get inspired from the non-native speaker on how to become a good speaker in Arabic language and to provide a clear information for the students about the pathways for them to pursue their careers as a speaker in Arabic language.
This programme received a recognition from majority IIUM Pagoh’s students and other universities’ students, and some of them who are not even in Arabic courses. Overall, this programme was a success and achieved its objective because the participants were showing an enthusiastic reaction along this programme. This programme was moderated smoothly by an experienced ARCOM student who won the ‘Anugerah Ikon Siswa Johor 2021’, Br. Muhammad Hanif b. Naim.
The participants who were participating this programme be able to get a clear information and knowledge about the career world for their future. Besides, it gives motivation to them to strive hard to become master in Arabic language. There were many new exposure and knowledge that students gained about mastering Arabic language from other non-native speaker. Back to our main slogan, if Lee Ji Eun who is also a non-native speaker able to speak Arabic fluently and confidently, why cannot we?
