Gombak, 18 December 2021.  Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) organises the International Symposium on Shari’ah Governance 2021: In Memory of Emeritus Professor Tan Sri Ahmad Ibrahim. Mr Mohamed Sidek bin Tan Sri Ahmad, the son of Tan Sri Ahmad Ibrahim thanks the Kulliyyah in continuing to organise important programmes to continue the legacy of Tan Sri Ahmad Ibrahim of enhancing the application and administration of Shari’ah in Malaysia and beyond.



Professor Farid Sufian Shuaib in his opening speech shares the great contribution of Emeritus Professor Tan Sri Ahmad Ibrahim including being the chief architect of the two leading law schools in Malaysia, namely the University’s of Malaya’s Faculty of Law, and the International Islamic University Malaysia’s Kulliyyah of Laws, which was named Ahmad Ibrahim Kulliyyah of Laws in 2000.

 

Speakers from Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines and Turkey share their thoughts on the Shari’ah governance of the respective countries its trajectories.
