In line with the vision and mission of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), the Centre for Islamic Economics (CIE), formerly known as Islamic Economics and Policy Research Unit, serves as a network collaborator linking research, training and consultancy activities of the Kulliyyah of Economics and Management Sciences (KENMS) to the wider community in the niche areas of Islamic economics, management, accounting and finance.

CIE undertakes both conceptual / theoretical as well as policy research to develop the discipline and practice of Islamic Economics. The CIE also conducts training and consultancy programmes for both academics and industry players in Malaysia and regionally/globally.
