A. IIUM UG UMMATIC SCHOLARSHIP (FOR MALAYSIAN AND INTERNATIONAL STUDENT)
1. What is IIUM UG Ummatic Scholarship?
IIUM Undergraduate Ummatic Scholarship is a scholarship awarded to poor, needy, deserving and academically outstanding students in recognition of their achievement, study at IIUM
2. Who can apply for IIUM Ummatic Scholarship?
Student who can fulfill all the following criteria:
- Registered as full-time Undergraduate student
- Second year student and above (at the Kulliyyah level)
- Do not receive any other scholarship
- Poor student (needy) as identified by the University authority
- Student with excellence academic standing (CGPA of 3.6 and above – with minimum of 15 credit hours). Student from Muslim minority country with CGPA of 3.00 and above may apply for the scholarship
3. The University currently could not provide Ummatic Scholarship to the following:
- Student under critical programmes offered by the University i.e related medical programme, executive programme and other programme as determined by the University.
- student who is still under pre-sessional and bridging programme
4. What does the IIUM Ummatic Scholarship cover?
All fees incurred by IIUM as follows:
- Tuition fee
- Related fee
- Monthly allowance
- Hostel fee
- Book allowance
- Insurance (once only)
5. How do I apply for IIUM UG Ummatic scholarship?
Normally the application for Ummatic Scholarship will be opened beginning of a regular semester. Please take note that the offer of IIUM Ummatic Scholarship is subject to availability of the fund
The Finance Division will make an announcement through Student and Scholarship Unit notice board, Student Unit Facebook and IIUM Finance Website
6. How soon will I be notified of the result?
You will be notified within a month after the interview session. Please refer to the Student and Scholarship Unit notice board, Student Unit Facebook and IIUM Finance Website for the result
B. IIUM ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARD (FOR MALAYSIAN AND INTERNATIONAL STUDENT)
1. What is IIUM Academic Excellence Award?
IIUM Academic Excellence Award is an award given to academically outstanding students in recognition of their achievement, study at IIUM.
2. Who can apply for IIUM Academic Excellence Award?
Student who can fulfill all the following criteria:
- Registered as full-time Undergraduate student
- Second year student and above at the Kulliyyah level
- Student with excellence academic standing (CGPA of 3.8 and above – with minimum of 15 credit hours) based on the University general academic workload policy
- Self-sponsored and loan recipient only (please attach the loan offer letter).
Please take note that the offer of IIUM Academic Excellence Award is subject to availability of the fund.
3. The University currently could not provide the Academic Excellence Award to the following:
- Student under critical programmes offered by the University i.e related medical programme, executive programme and other programme as determined by the University.
4. What does the IIUM Academic Excellence Award cover?
Exemption from tuition fee ONLY
5. How do I apply for IIUM Academic Excellence Award?
Normally the application for Academic Excellence Award will be opened during beginning of a regular semester. The Finance Division will make an announcement through Student and Scholarship Unit notice board, Student Unit Facebook and IIUM Finance Website
6. How soon will I be notified of the result?
You will be notified within a week after the IIUM Financial Assistance Committee (IFAC) Meeting. Please refer to the Student and Scholarship Unit notice board, Student Unit Facebook and IIUM Finance Website for the result

C. IIUM TUITION FEE REDUCTION (FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT)
1. What is IIUM Tuition Fee Reduction?
IIUM Tuition Fee Reduction is a financial assistance given to poor, needy and deserving International Undergraduate students to reduce their tuition fee charged by the University.

2. Who can apply for IIUM Tuition Fee Reduction?
Student who can fulfill all the following criteria:
- International student.
- Registered as full-time Undergraduate student.
- Second year student at Kulliyyah level and above.
- Do not receive any other scholarship.
- Student with CGPA of 3.0 and above (with at least 15.0 credit hours) based on the University general academic workload policy.
- Poor student (needy) as identified by the University authority.
- Show commitment in paying the balance of outstanding debt.
Please take note that the offer of IIUM Tuition Fee Reduction is subject to availability of the fund.
3. The University currently could not provide the Tuition Fee Reduction to the following:
- Student under critical programmes offered by the University i.e related medical programme, executive programme and other programme as determined by the University.
- student who is still under pre-sessional and bridging programme
4. What does the IIUM Tuition Fee Reduction cover?
There are 2 types of tuition fee reduction:
- Tuition Fee Reduction B: 50% subsidize
- Tuition Fee Reduction C: Up to 88% reduction (20% above Malaysian tuition fee rate)
5. How do I apply for IIUM Tuition Fee Reduction?
Normally the application for tuition fee reduction will be opened during beginning of a regular semester. The Finance Division will make an announcement through Student and Scholarship Unit notice board, facebook (www.facebook.com/studentunit.iium) and IIUM Portal (www.iium.edu.my).

D. MALAYSIAN TUITION FEE RATE (FOR PALESTINIAN STUDENT)
1. What is Malaysian Tuition Fee Rate?
The Malaysian Tuition Fee Rate is a financial assistance currently given to Palestinian students who are staying in Gaza or any conflict area in Palestine. This rate is given for ONLY ONE LEVEL (either Degree/Master or Ph.D) OF STUDY AT IIUM.
2. Who can apply for Malaysian Tuition Fee Rate?
Student who can fulfill all the following criteria:
- Registered as full-time Undergraduate and Postgraduate student from Palestine
- First semester student at Kulliyyah level and above
- Do not receive any other scholarship
- Needy student.
3. The University currently could not provide the Malaysian Tuition Fee Rate to the following:
- Student under critical programmes offered by the University i.e related medical programme, executive programme and other programme as determined by the University.
- student who is still under pre-sessional and bridging programme
- Student who has already enjoyed receiving Malaysian tuition fee rate during their Undergraduate/postgraduate programme. This facility is only given ONCE to Palestinian student study at IIUM.
4. What does the Malaysian Tuition Fee cover?
The rate of tuition fee charged is the same as Malaysian student studying in IIUM.
5. How do I apply for IIUM Malaysian Tuition Fee?
Normally the application for Malaysian tuition fee will be opened during beginning of a regular semester. The Finance Division will make an announcement through Student and Scholarship Unit notice board, facebook (www.facebook.com/studentunit.iium) and IIUM Portal (www.iium.edu.my).

IIUM FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR MALAYSIAN UNEMPLOYED GRADUATE
I have completed my study for more than one year. Is there any financial aids provided by the University’s to reduce my outstanding debt since I could not secure permanent job because I do not have the certificate?
Graduating student who has an outstanding debt with the University can apply subject to the following conditions:
- The availability of the fund
- The student has graduated for more than one year
- Do not have permanent or secured job
- Needy and having financial constraint
- Approval from the University’s authority
