ANNOUNCEMENT ON OPENING OF PROTOTYPE RESEARCH GRANT SCHEME (PRGS) FIRST CYCLE 1/2016
MINISTRY OF EDUCATION
29th JANUARY 2016 – 28th APRIL 2016
The Ministry of Education (MOE) had announced that the Prototype Research Grant Scheme (PRGS) is now open to researchers of Institution of Higher Learning from 29th January 2016 – 28th April 2016.
PRGS Grant Scheme was established for the development of prototypes for bridging the gaps between laboratory discoveries and research up to pre-commercialization. This includes proof of concept, evaluation, up-scaling, pre-clinical testing and field testing.
The criteria:
1) a research proposal should meets the criteria of prototype development research and in accordance with PRGS guidelines
2) the amount applied are not exceed RM500,000 with a maximum research period of two (2) years
3) each research leader may submit one (1) application only for phase 1/2016
In relation to the above, the interested researchers are kindly invited to apply for the PRGS:
