Office of Internal Audit (OIA) was appointed as the spearhead to champion 2013 Ibadah Camp for IIUM Rectory Offices.
This is the first module for Ibadah Camp and the theme for the camp was “The Concept of Ibadah in Islam”. The program was held for three days of which consist a day program of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), which was held on 19th Dec 2013 at “Pusat Jagaan Nuri” Setapak, Kuala Lumpur and followed by two day Ibadah Camp program at Felda Residence Hot Spring Sungkai, Perak from 21st Dec until 22nd Dec 2013.
The first program i.e. the CSR program was launched by the Honorable Rector of IIUM, Prof. Dato’ Sri Dr. Zaleha Kamarudin. Loads of activities being conducted during the day. Staff of IIUM Rectory Offices working together to clean up Pusat Jagaan Nuri which covers not only the cleanliness and maintenance of the place but few programs were also conducted to instill the spirit of the Pusat Jagaan Nuri residence. The chairman of Pusat Jagaan Nuri is Puan Nopisrah Haji Tahir was also the founder of the organization.
The second activity for 2013 Ibadah Camp was held at Felda Residence Hot Spring Sungai, Perak. There were 3 sessions of talk during the 2 day 1 night program and it was started with the first talk entitle “Concept of Ibadah in Islam’ which was presented by Prof. Khalid Ahmad. Second talk during the program was “Shahaadatain: Meaning, Significance and Implications for Man as Abd and Khalifah” which was presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hazizan Md. Noon. Another talk that was presented during the program was “Ghaybiyyat: Impact on Muslim’s Akhlaq” by Dr. Majdan Alias. Knowledge’s were shared not only by speakers of the talks but also by other participants as well as additional knowledge’s were input during and after the sessions. Participants of the talk highly benefited from the talks conducted during the Ibadah Camp.
Among other programs conducted during the Ibadah Camp were Tilawah Al-Quran, Qiamullail, Faj lecture (The Importance of Solah), Telematch and Rectory Offices Grand dinner. All these programs were conducted in the spirit of instilling the concept of Ibadah in Islam among the staff. Last but not least, OIA as the chairman of the 2013 Ibadah Camp would like to congratulate all participants of the program and hoping that the coming programs to be conducted by IIUM Rectory Offices in the coming future will benefited participants as much as these programs did. We would also like to congratulate to all working committees who had directly or indirectly contributed towards the success of the program.
