NOOR-IIIBF UMMATIC SCHOLARSHIP IN ISLAMIC BANKING AND FINANCE 2.0

Assalamu'alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,

Dear All IIiBF Students,

We are pleased to inform that the IIUM Institute of Islamic Banking and Finance in collaboration with the Noor Bank, Dubai has agreed to sponsor Tuition Fees for THREE (3) International Students from IIiBF .

The Noor Bank, a rated “A-” IDR with a stable outlook by Fitch Ratings, was established in January 2008, in Dubai - United Arab Emirates which have a presence across the United Arab Emirates, at multiple locations in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Al Ain.

The Noor Bank is a full-service Shari’ah-compliant bank which commenced operations in Dubai in 2008.

In addition to the esteemed Board of Directors, Noor Bank is also supervised by an Internal Shari’ah Supervision Committee, comprised of reputed scholars that oversee and ensure Islamic compliance on all legal documentations, financial, products, services and banking matters.

SELECTION CRITERIA FOR

NOOR-IIiBF UMMATIC SCHOLARSHIP IN ISLAMIC BANKING AND FINANCE

FOR SEMESTER 2, 2020/2021

(ADMISSION MARCH 2021)

TYPE OF SHCOLARSHIP	MASTER OF SCIENCE IN ISLAMIC BANKING AND FINANCE (4 CANDIDATES) 2 International 2 Local	PhD IN ISLAMIC BANKING AND FINANCE (1 CANDIDATE) International
PERIOD OF SCHOLARSHIP	This scholarship is for a term of TWO (2) -YEARS, covering TUITION FEES ONLY.	This scholarship is for a term of THREE (3)-YEARS, covering TUITION FEES ONLY.
CRITERIA OF SELECTION	i. Full time international Muslim students at IIiBF. ii. Currently Not receiving any scholarship iii. First year (2nd Sem) student with CGPA of 3.75 with minimum 9 credit hours iv. Provide 2 recommendation letters from IIiBF lecturers under strict confidentiality (Excluding Dean, Deputy Deans and HOPs) v. Candidates should not have / had any disciplinary problem	i. Full time international Muslim student at IIiBF. ii. Currently Not receiving any scholarship iii. Minimum master CGPA of 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale) OR 85% (on a 100%-point scale), or pass with distinction or its equivalent iv. First (1st) year student who has completed special requirement courses v. Successfully defended research proposal during 3rd/4th sem of study period vi. Provide a satisfactory research proposal and recommended by the selection panels vii. Published at least 1 journal article viii. Provide 2 recommendation letters from IIiBF lecturers under strict confidentiality (Excluding Dean, Deputy Deans and HOPs) ix. Candidates should not have/had any disciplinary problem .
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS TO BE FULFILLED BY RECIPIENTS	i. Must maintain the CGPA of at least 3.5 for subsequent semesters ii. Publish at least 1 research paper in index journal for graduation purpose iii. Actively participating in IIiBF activities upon the advice of the IIiBF. iv. Recipients must graduate within normal study period i.e. 4 SEMESTERS from date approved for scholarship	i. Must maintain good performance throughout the study period ii. Participate in research conference as presenter iii. Publish at least 2 research papers in Scopus index journal for graduation purpose iv. Actively participate in IIiBF activities upon the advice of the IIiBF v. Recipients must graduate within 3 YEARS from date approved for scholarship.

IMPORTANT NOTE

i. An interview session will be conducted with shortlisted candidates only.

ii. Having fulfilled all the above criteria, priority is given to needy candidates.

iii. In the event the student approved for the said scholarship, recipients must maintain the additional requirement, otherwise would result in revocation of the scholarship.

iii. Obtain the necessary signature and stamp/approval from the relevant institutions/authorities.

iv. Scan the entire completed forms (in pdf file) and submit online via online form.

v. For easy identification, please named/saved the duly completed application form as follows:-

vi. Please attach a soft copy of your Passport Picture at the corner right of the said form.

vii. Please adhere to the requirements when submitting online. All mandatory fields have to be filled/completed.
