Emergency radiology is medical imaging done in acutely ill or traumatized patients. The volume of medical imaging obtained in evaluating these cases has increased over the last decades. Due to its importance, we bring this topic as our theme this year as an effort in enhancing and consolidating knowledge and share the updates regarding some of the common emergency cases seen in daily clinical practice. This continuous medical education is necessary to residents involved in interpretation of emergency imaging studies. Lack of knowledge may compromise the patient care. Multiple imaging modalities including X-ray, Ultrasound, CT scan, MRI and other advanced imaging modalities used in these type of cases will be discussed. This conference is aimed for paramedics, allied health workers, medical officers and specialists who are involved in managing emergency cases.
