Expert Profile


Siti Zaiton bt. Mat So'ad obtained her BSc (Hon) in Chemistry and, PhD with specialisation in Natural Product Chemistry from University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). She was a lecturer, Faculty of Applied Sciences, UiTM Pahang from June 1995 until November 2007. She was joined Kulliyyah of Pharmacy, IIUM in December 2007as Senior Lecturer and was appointed as Associate Professor in 2014. She was appointed as Director, Natural Medicinal Product Centre (SBU IIUM) from December 2007 until August 2009, Head of Department, Pharmaceutical Chemistry from 2011-2013 and from 2015-2017.
Siti Zaiton was actively involved in teaching and research throughout her service. She received a few research grant from Ministry of Science and Technology (MOSTI) and Ministry of Education (MOE).
For her outstanding achievement in teaching and research, she was awarded the Anugerah Khidnmat Cemerlang, UiTM (2004) and Outstanding Researcher Award during IIUM Quality Day 2014.
